Cosplay is a costume oriented hobby requiring technical skills in makeup, costume construction, prop-making, and wig design. Ollie has over a decade of experience in the cosplay community, a BFA in Costume Design, and is available for work via invitation or hire. I finally finished my coat for Ciel Phantomhive right in time for the anticipated series reboot to drop! So excited to curl up on the couch and reward myself with nostalgia bait.
This piece is my own design, loosely inspired by the burgundy suit featured in the first season of Black Butler. The tale centers around vicious twelve-year-old, orphan, and Earl, Ciel Phantomhive. He forms a Faustian bargain with a demon, who agrees to masquerade as his Butler and help him in his conquest for revenge.
I based the coat off of Victorian fashions in the appropriate time period, and I sourced the rest of the costume second-hand. My favorite piece I found while sourcing is the Alice and The Pirates blouse I’m wearing. The black and navy stripes and ruffle detailing are to die for!
